Pete Jackson
Pete, creator and producer of Live Forever, was a lifelong Oasis / Gallagher fan and was lucky enough to be at both days of Knebworth in 1996. He had been working in the industry for 25 years by then. From stadiums and arenas to clubs and theatres, Pete performed everywhere and was fortunate enough to work with some legends and rockstars along the way, including the Gallagher brothers themselves. He supported Oasis in Austria and Portugal on the band’s European leg of the ‘Don’t Believe the Truth Tour’ in 2005. Pete recalled, “It was amazing hanging out with those guys, talking music and all things Rock ’n’ Roll… not to mention that their drummer at the time was Zak Starkey – mind-blowing!”
Speaking of the Beatles, some people might recognise Pete from the ‘world’s premier’ Paul McCartney stage show ‘The McCartney Songbook’, where Pete played Paul.
Pete said, “I’d been a singer for as long as I could remember and had tried my hand at singing almost anything. Two hours of singing Macca while playing left-handed bass, an evening of singing the relentless high harmony of the amazing Phil Everly of the Everly Brothers, and of course, the absolute workout of a ‘That’ll Be The Day’ Motown medley – then from Frankie to Johnny to MJ to Freddie!”
